What Karavanto does, what it does not do, and what you accept by using it.

Purpose
These terms govern the use of Karavanto, a travel guide that composes a day-by-day itinerary from your answers. Using the service means accepting them.
What the service does, and what it does not
Karavanto composes an itinerary, explains it and lets you change it. It sells no trip, books nothing, takes no payment and plays no part in any booking. Every booking is made by you, with the provider, under a contract that binds you and them alone.
Account and access
Answering the five questions needs no account. An account is there to find your itineraries again: you answer for the email address you attach to it. Deleting the account yourself is planned and does not exist yet: no page of the service offers it. In the meantime it is requested at the contact address in the legal notice, which is still to be opened — until it is, that request cannot reach us, and we would rather write that down.
Expected use
You use the service to prepare your own trips. Bulk extraction of the catalogue, resale of the content and any attempt to disrupt the service are excluded.
Content and sources
Place records are built from open sources. We keep the sources of each fact. The date it was checked, on the other hand, is written by none of our processes today: the column meant for it exists and stays empty, so we do not keep it. Neither the sources nor that date are shown to date, and both are planned. Images, when there are any, will carry their author and their licence. The texts Karavanto produces stay Karavanto's; your answers stay yours.
Limits of liability
Opening hours, prices and the state of a trail change without telling us. We show the date each fact was checked when we have one, and we write that it is missing when it is missing. The coverage level of each destination is shown at the top of the itinerary. Before an outdoor activity, official sources — weather service, prefecture, trail service, tide tables — take precedence over what we show.
Changes to the service and to these terms
These terms may change. The date of the last update is at the top of this page, and today that is the only way to know they have changed: email sending is not connected, so no change is announced to anyone, not even to account holders. Telling you about a significant change is planned, and this page will say so once it is in service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall to the competent French courts.
